Could it be true?! My inner 90s child is jumping for joy at the fact beloved *NSYNC may be reuniting on stage at Sunday’s MTV VMA Awards! According to the New York Post, the band will do a special performance together and join Justin Timberlake as he receives the coveted Michel Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
I’m actually not sure if I would be more excited to see *NSYNC perform as a whole, or my boy-band crush J.C. Chasez (yeah, I didn’t have a thing for Justin) bust out those synchronized dance moves in color-coordinated, matching outfits.
And just because…I mean, who doesn’t love bubbles in a rainforest with five guys singing?! I promise you (no pun intended) if they actually do perform, girls everywhere will be overjoyed and have no shame about hiding it.
Mr. Timberlake tied for most award nominations along with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, each receiving nominations in six categories. Other performers rocking the stage at the Barclays Center this Sunday include Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Robin Thicke. There are also rumors of Daft Punk and Beyoncé performances, but we will just have to wait and see!
